Female Friendly is an online directory of businesses used and recommended by women. Female Friendly finds services that have been used and recommended by their female customers and accredits them with a "Pink Tick" and "Silver Shield" Accreditation programme. Women can nominate any business, trade or service that she would feel comfortable referring to her friends and family (because she has used and trusted them herself).
Female Friendly Pty Ltd was established late 2007 after an Adelaide housewife and mother of 4 children (Kylie Jacobs) discovered the need to recognise mechanics who, by their customers, are considered to meet the needs of their female customers.
Firstly, it would place women in front of honest and trustworthy mechanics so they could confidently proceed without worrying if they were going to be overcharged or not. Secondly, it was for the sake of the good mechanics out there who are unfortunately painted with the same 'brush of bad reputation' when the word "mechanic" is mentioned.
Who better to tell us where these mechanics are than females? Kylie asked the women to nominate them (through events and networking) and after meeting a simple list of requirements to become accredited, these mechanics were listed on the Female Friendly™ website.
Is wasn't long before other industries were also being accredited, such as tradesmen, real estate and insurance. With the help of her sisters (Caroline Davis and Elizabeth Grace) and a fantastic team, Female Friendly™ is about to grow from national to international!
Female Friendly introduces new industries and businesses on a regular basis, and plan to introduce other fantastic marketing tools to benefit local businesses and of course, their most important customer — YOU!
